“Partnerships between the NAACP and other organizations are built on a shared vision of a fair world, free of racial discrimination and injustice, which implies solidarity beyond the implementation of specific programs and activities. Working with others towards common objectives creates the potential for real collaborative advantage. For this potential to be realized, the diverse knowledge, experience, and skills which each partner brings to the relationship are valued and acknowledged as essential to ensuring the success and sustainability of joint efforts” — PAULA BROWN EDMÉ VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS & PLANNING
Join Our Cause
The Ames, Iowa NAACP welcomes the support of donors to fulfill its mission of change through education, activism, legal remedies, and or effective communication.
The NAACP advocates, agitates, and litigates for civil rights due to Black America. Our legacy is built on the foundation of grassroots activism by the biggest civil rights pioneers of the 20th century and is sustained by 21st century activists. From classrooms and courtrooms to city halls and Congress, our network of members across the country works to secure the social and political power that will end race-based discrimination. That work is rooted in racial equity, civic engagement, and supportive policies and institutions for all marginalized people. We are committed to a world without racism where Black people enjoy equitable opportunities in thriving communities.
